These cute pumpkin hats fit Marshmallow mugs, on Amazon, and most kids cups. Materials:Hook: G 4.0mm Yarn: #4 Worsted Weight Yarn I used: Orange: Premier Yarns, Deborah Norville Everyday "Bittersweet" Brown: Red Heart, Super Saver, "Cafe Latte" Green: I love this Yarn!, "Mid Green" Other: Yarn Needle, Scissors Guage: 5 hd x 2 row = 1 inch Finished Size: Stem to bottom edge 4 3/4 inches high x 10 inch circumference AbbreviationsCh- chain sc - single crochet hd- half double crochet dc - double crochet st(s)- Stitches sl st - slip stitch BLO - Back loop only InstructionsWith Orange Ch16 Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 2sts, hd in next 3sts, dc in next 4sts, hd in next 5sts, turn (15 sts) Row 2: (BLO) ch2 (does not count as hd), hd in next 5sts, dc in next 4sts, hd in next 3sts, sc in next 3 sts, turn (15 sts) Row 3: (BLO) ch1, sc in next 3sts, hd in next 3sts, dc in next 4sts, hd in next 5sts, turn (15 sts) Rows 4-19: Repeat Row 2 & Row 3 Row 20: (BLO) Ch 2, hd in next 5sts, dc in next 4sts, hd in next 3sts, sc in next 3sts, Fasten off. leave a long enough piece of yarn to sew closed, by sewing ends of rows 1 and 20 together. (10 sc) Rounds 2 & 3: Ch1,*sc in next st* repeat from * to * across, sl st into 1st sc (10 sc) Round 4: Ch1, *sc2tog* repeat across, sl st into 1st sc (5 sc ) Fasten off Leave enough yarn to weave the last round closed. Vine:With Green Ch 16, Row 1: 2sc in 2nd ch from hook, 2sc in next 11sts, sc in last 3 sts. (27 sc) Fasten off. With Orange: Ch 36, sl st into first ch to form a ring Round 1: ch 1, Hd in each ch, slst into ch1 (36 hds) Round 2: Ch1, *hd in next 4sts, hd2tog* repeat from *to * around, slst to 1st hd (30 hds) Round 3: ch1, *hd in next 3sts, hd2tog* repeat from * to * around, slst to 1st hd (26 hds) Round 4: ch1,* hd in next st*, repeat from * to * around slst into 1st hd (26hds) cut orange yarn leaving enough yarn to weave in With White: Round 5: pull up white see figure 1 at end of pattern , slst into 1st hd (26hds) Round 6: ch1, *hd in next 2sts, hd2tog* repeat from* to * around, slst into 1st hd (20 hds) Round 7: ch1, * hd in next st, hd2tog* repeat from *to * around, slst into 1st hd (14hds) Round 8: ch1, *hd in next st* repeat from *to* around slst into 1st hd (14hds) Round 9: ch1, *hd2tog* repeat from * to * around, slst into 1st hd (8 hds) Fasten off. Making sure you leave a long enough yarn tail to sew the the top closed. at the end of round 9 you will have a slight whole left at the top of your candy corn, use a yarn needle and sew the whole closed with the white yarn tail. With Yellow: Round 10: Joing yellow yarn to any orange hd see Figure 2 &3, ch1,*hd in next st* repeat from *to* around, slst into 1st hd (36 hds) Rounds 11-13: ch1, *hd in next st* repeat from *to* around slst into 1st hd (36 hds) Fasten off after last round.
